-The goal is to see if the opponent is just asserting things to be true, look for logic errors, falters in arguments, point out contradictions, eliminate non-resolutional arguments, and to clarify opponent's arguments.
-Most tournaments give 3 mi of prep time
-This number varies, but can be as much as 5 min.
-The current NFL standard prep time is 4 min. YEEAHHHHHH !!!!
-It can be used at the convience of the debator.
-It is a good idea to prep during the other guy' pprep time as well.

*Your goal in cx is to point out logical errors in your opponents arguments and eliminate irrelevant arguments to the resolution.
*Prep time is 3 minutes which may vary at tournaments to where you are given 5.
Prep time can be used before a speech but you would want to save some prep time for your second rebuttal.

1.) cross-ex is when you clarify and look for weak spots in arguments (i.e. logical fallacies) and weed out the irrelevant arguments

2.) standard NFL prep is 4 minutes; use it to organize your thoughts before you ask your cross-ex and rebuttals

In cross-examination, you should be testing the stability of your opponenty's argument with various questions.
3 - 5 minutes. You may use as much of this time before a speech.

-your goal in cross-ex is to expose the logical flows in your opponent's argumentation, point out contradictions, and eliminate any arguments that are irrelevant to the resolution
-Prep time is at least 3 minutes long. In some cases it can vary. It can be used before you speak. It is advised that you use half before your first rebuttal and the rest before your second.
